We are looking for highly motivated and innovative Health Care Assistant with a passion for Dermatology , preferably with dermtology experience, to join our busy team in Dermatology Out Patients.

The Dermatology Centre at Salford Royal offers a full range of dermatology services and is one of the largest of its kind in Europe.

Your job role will involve working in all the specialist areas

Whilst our main department is based at Salford Royal, we also have a spoke service based at Radcliffe and Altringham. Your main work base will be Salford but you will be expected to work across sites when required.

You will be a motivated team player with a flexible attitude and be able to demonstrate commitment to your own professional development. Ideally you will have an knowledge in Dermatology.

This is a seven day service.

Every year the center cares for approximately 13,000 new outpatients with a further 26,000 follow up appointments. We aim to provide the highest achievable standards of care.

Your role will include :

*The ability to organize your own workload

*Ability to recognize clinical signs of infection and when to request a medical review

* Demonstrate an understanding of treatments used within Dermatology that may be applied to patients attending the Daily Dressings clinic

*Ability to apply and monitor skin treatments correctly

*Ability to recognize failure of improvement in a patients' condition and when to seek a medical review

*Ability to support patients with the management of their skin condition

*Ability to book patient appointments via Patient Centre

*Ability to evaluate and document each patient visit via their Electronic Patient Record (EPR)

*Ability to work closely with the medical team regarding planning and evaluating patients' treatment

*To understand the clinical benefit of compression bandaging in leg ulcers to assist healing and to undertake training on how to apply K2 compression bandages.

You will be required to work 5 out of 7 days, 37.5 hours per week.
