We are looking for a passionate, dedicated, and experienced Pastoral Support Manager to join our team and play a key role in shaping the wellbeing and pastoral care of our students.
The Role
As a Pastoral Support Manager, you will work closely with students, staff, and families to provide essential support for students facing academic, emotional, or social challenges. You will lead the development and delivery of tailored interventions, ensuring that every student is supported in their personal development and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
Student Welfare: Provide day-to-day support for students with behavioural, emotional, or social needs.
Pastoral Care: Work closely with the school's pastoral team to monitor and improve student wellbeing, attendance, and behaviour.
Intervention Management: Lead and coordinate targeted interventions to support students at risk of underachievement, including mentoring, counselling, and external referrals where necessary.
Liaison with Parents/Carers: Develop positive relationships with families, offering guidance and support to ensure the best outcomes for students.
Collaboration
Work alongside teaching staff, SENCO, and external agencies to develop a holistic approach to student support.
Monitoring and Reporting: Track student progress, behaviour, and welfare, providing regular reports and analysis to senior leadership.
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a dynamic and empathetic individual who has:
Proven experience in a pastoral or safeguarding role within a secondary school or similar environment.
Strong understanding of student welfare, behaviour management, and safeguarding protocols.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with students, staff, and parents.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
A commitment to the wellbeing of young people and a passion for making a positive impact on their lives.
