As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our residents receive the highest standard of care. You will be responsible for overseeing a team of care assistants, guiding and supporting them in their daily duties. Your role will involve a combination of hands-on care, leadership, and communication to ensure a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist residents with daily activities, such as personal care, dressing, feeding, and mobility.
Lead and supervise a team of care assistants, ensuring a high standard of care is maintained.
Conduct risk assessments and ensure health and safety procedures are followed.
Monitor residents’ physical and emotional well-being, reporting any changes to senior staff or healthcare professionals.
Administer medications as required, following care plans and company policies.
Ensure care plans are updated and tailored to the individual needs of each resident.
Build positive relationships with residents, their families, and the wider care team.
Act as a mentor for junior staff, providing support, training, and guidance.
Promote dignity, respect, and independence for all residents at all times.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:
Previous experience as a Care Assistant, with at least 1-2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
A relevant care qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care).
Strong communication skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team.
A genuine passion for providing high-quality care to elderly or vulnerable individuals.
Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and best practices in care.
Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
Desirable:
First Aid certification or Medication Administration Training.
Previous experience in a similar setting (e.g., residential care, nursing homes, etc.)
