An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our forward thinking and friendly Homecare team at Manchester Foundation Trust. Our homecare service is one of the largest in the country with over 13,000 patients across the trust. Our service continues to expand, with an annual turnover of approximately £90m and a savings contribution of over £18m a year.

You will support the delivery of a patient focused Homecare Service and assist with the promotion of cost effective use of medicines.You will work closely with the multidisciplinary teams across various specialties. Dealing with patients and carers on a regular basis you must be able to conduct conversations tactfully and sensitively. You must always act with professionalism and engage firmly but diplomatically with Homecare providers, ensuring collaborative working to deliver a safe and effective service.

We are looking for an excellent team player who is flexible and self-motivated to enhance our team. A working knowledge of hospital pharmacy and or homecare is desirable but not essential as a full training program is available.

The ideal candidate will possess:
• The ability to work accurately and methodically
• Excellent communication skills both via telephone and email.
• Good IT skills
• The ability to work under pressure and use their own initiative to meet deadlines

Your primary base will be at Oxford Road Campus (ORC) but you may be asked to work at other sites on occasion.
• Processing Homecare prescriptions
• Dealing with queries from patients, carers and homecare providers via emails and telephones
• Liaising with clinical teams to ensure the homecare service is working as it should
• Logging complaints and incidents
• Investigating invoice queries and checking supplier statements
