About you
Do you have experience working with children in a residential setting? Want to join a supportive team where you will work with experienced professionals in children’s residential? Then we would love to hear from you.
You will work in the children’s residential home with an age range of 8 – 18 years where you will provide a loving and caring environment to our children. We have a culture which ensures each child is treated with understanding, dignity, kindness and respect. You will be able to form positive relationships with children based on respect and openness, as well as having an awareness of safeguarding from harm and the ability to assess and manage risk.
You will either hold or be willing to work towards the Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare. You will work shift patterns, including weekends and sleep-ins, hold a full driving license with business insurance and have access to a vehicle for work purposes. There is a four-week rolling rota; sleeps are 8 across the rota for full-time time and 6 for part-time workers. Shifts are typically 2.30-10.30 pm/7 am-3 pm.
Part Time salary is £19,257 inclusive of sleeps.
Part time is 24 hours
Essential skills:
· Experience working with children in a residential setting
· Willingness to work towards Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification.
· UK valid Driving license and access to a vehicle insured for business use
At Bedspace, we are committed to safeguarding and protecting children and adults in our work. This role involves working closely with children and is therefore exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. As part of our recruitment, selection, and appointment processes we conduct a range of vetting checks including Enhanced DBS and reference checks, to ensure that only those who are suitable to work with children and those we care for and support are appointed.
