Thank you for your interest in the position of Care Assistant within Accommodation with Care and Support and Housing Support. The service sits within the Complex and Critical Care Portfolio, which forms part of Fife Health and Social Care Partnership. The partnership delivers a significant range of delegated services for a population of around 370,000 across the Kingdom of Fife.

We are a forward-thinking service constantly seeking to deliver high quality, person-centred care and support to service users, which is aligned to the Health and Social Care Standards, Fife’s Health and Social Care Partnerships Strategic Objectives, and the National Wellbeing Outcomes.

This role involves a wide range of shift patterns including: day shifts, late shifts, sleepovers, nightshifts and weekend working. Applicants must be able to do all shift patterns. Support can be within a single tenancy, a group home or the respite unit; successful applicants will also be expected to be able to lone work and have the ability to travel throughout Fife.

Successful applicants will be provided with a comprehensive induction and all necessary training such as Moving and Handling, CALM, ESCAPES, Dysphagia etc. The person must:

- Have a caring attitude.
- The ability to manage and prioritise workload.
- Be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Have good team working skills.
- Have excellent literacy skills.
- Have good IT skills.
- Be able to provide support to individuals with personal care needs.
- Be able to work with other professionals.
- Be able to undertake physical tasks e.g. being able to comfortably kneel on beds and floors and able to rise without difficulty.
- Be willing and able to travel throughout Fife when needed.
- Be flexible.

You are required to register with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of taking up employment in this role and to complete the required Post Registration Training and Learning (PRTL) over the first registration period.
