Social Work Resources are committed to providing services for children, young people, families, adults and older people who are in need of care and protection.


We are recruiting for Social Worker posts within Adult and Older People's Services to provide a professional service to our client groups. We would welcome applications from registered Social Workers and from Final Year Degree in Social Work Students looking to start their career as a Social Worker. Final year students must be qualified within 2 months of submitting their application form.


You will work as an effective member of the team, helping us to make a positive difference in the Community. You will provide an effective assessment and care management service incorporating any relevant statutory duties. You will act as a Social Worker and undertake casework involving partnership working and provide professional advice and guidance to individuals, families and groups within the community. You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to complete all formal, informal reports and case notes which need to be of a high standard. In addition, you should be able to demonstrate an ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds and be able to gain their trust, in order to help them get the best from our services. You should be able to deal with a variety of situations where your tact, patience and understanding will be needed. You will need to assess and cope with these situations in a sensitive and non-judgmental way.


All applicants must be registered or in the process of registering with Scottish Social Services Council and hold Degree in Social Work qualification or equivalent. A wish for Mental Health Officer and Postgraduate Certificate in Mental Health Social Work (MHO) Award or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
