Role: Support Worker

We are currently looking for support workers to join our friendly, busy, professional and dynamic support team based in Richmond. This is a great opportunity, you will work as part of a team of support workers striving to make experiences and situations positive for the people we support. You will promote their individual choice and prompt independence. This will include community links and developing relationships, volunteering opportunities and life skills. The successful candidate will be passionate about making a difference in people’s we support lives.


What would you be doing?


As a Support Worker you would have a varied role supporting individuals with a range of disabilities, you would be responsible for:



  • Encouraging independence
  • Support people to manage their health needs and liaising with health professionals
  • Developing the life skills of the people we support
  • Assisting with personal finances
  • Support with personal hygiene
  • Supporting with medication
  • Providing advice and problem solving when required.
  • As part of your role, you will be using a digital app called Nourish, where all care and support plans of the people we support are held. Experience of using a digital or mobile app would be desirable however full training will be given

Previous experience working with challenging behaviour is highly desired. The people we support love their music and getting out in to the community. This can include going for walks or to the pub, so you will need to have an energetic and outgoing personality that will encourage the people we support.

Please note that successful applicants will be subject to a full DBS check and this role will involve weekend and evening shifts as well as the possibility of accompanying the people we support on holiday so flexibility is essential.
