My name is Steven, I am 30 years old and have Duchenne muscular dystrophy this limits me to an electric wheelchair and I only have fine motor skills.
I currently have a care package that allows me to hire PAs that i feel would be a good fit in my current team of four.
This job will require you to assist in all personal care, washing, dressing, feeding via peg and administering medication, the medication all goes through my gastrostomy tube which is located through my stomach, I am also on full time ventilation to help assist breathing.
My life is a very active one I enjoy weekly poker nights with friends, football matches, live music events, cinema and i love sports in general especially motor racing.
I am looking for someone who is easy going that will be an addition to my already active lifestyle.
The working shift is a 25 hour Saturday shift 9am till 10am the next day every two weeks at a rate of 16 waking hours at £10.55 and 9 sleeping hours at £9.50 for an overall of 50 hours a month, however one Tuesday 25hr shift per month is also an option as-well as extra cover.
